Testimonials

Sending our children to WLDCC was the best decision we made. There is a wonderful sense of community, fostered by Alka (Director) and the remarkable educators. The educators show genuine care and passion for the children every day. They provide a wide range of learning activities for the children which assists with school readiness, but more importantly develops core values and skills such as respecting others and developing healthy relationships, managing emotions appropriately, appreciating diversity and promoting inclusivity, and caring for the environment, just to name a few. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the educators. They always make time to talk about my children and have been very accommodating regarding our family’s routines. Our lives are better for being part of the WLDCC community. – Laura Southwood and Edward Payne

My daughter started with Wahroonga long day care when she was 20 months old and now, she is a sweet and polite little girl who will start big school next year: ) From day one my daughter loved Wahroonga long day care and its beautiful and caring staff. Alka is a truly caring and knowledgeable teacher. She teaches discipline and good manners, and she supports children’s unique talents and difference. For example, in my daughter’s case Alka understood and encouraged her passion for art. She also supported her through first days of getting used to her glasses at an early age. All the educators have such warm and loving attitude towards children and families. Heli, Ashna, Ranju, Athena, and some other educators whose name I might have forgotten; they are so beautiful and kind. I feel so lucky to have them to look after my daughter. Wahroonga long day care is cozy, warm and loving. I would recommend them to my friends without reservation. – Leyla Rasouli

Thank you Alka. It is wonderful to witness our daughter’s development: she has been very vocal about how she is a « big kid » now and this motivation has translated into huge leaps in a few areas recently. Seeing her peers go to the toilet at daycare, seeing kids put their head under water at the pool, or seeing dogs as friends and not threats are a few recent examples which have clearly led her to change her own behaviour and give things a go. I also find that she is very aware of this development as she often tell me things like “I wasn’t scared Daddy” or “I won’t cry at the pool today Daddy” despite us never putting any pressure on her! Thank you for all the wonderful work you and your team are doing. – David Marchadour

As a parent, it was wonderful to see my children thriving in this nurturing environment. I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional care that my children received, and I cannot thank the staff enough for their dedication and hard work. My children absolutely loved attending WLDCC. From the moment they started at just 1 year old, they felt right at home. Even now, my 8-year-old daughter Abigail still asks for a big hug from Alka whenever we walk by. The staff here are amazing – not only do they take great care of the kids during the day, but they also provide helpful parenting advice. They offered great tips on toilet training and how to handle tantrums, which really helped me as a busy parent. I highly recommend this childcare center to anyone looking for a nurturing, supportive environment for their kids! – Calvin Li

At WLDDC the experience is exceptionally personal and caring. The teachers are amazing and well experienced, and they all get to know your child and family very well. We feel so confident that all our children’s needs will be met. They are the most professional, and yet super fun daycare centre. I am very impressed by the facility and teaching staff. – Anneke Coomans

Our daughter quickly settled into the wonderful family of WLDCC.  Alka and her educational staff take the time to understand and learn the unique characters of the children.  The children’s days are filled with play-based activities that keep both their minds and body active.  We have been absolutely delighted to have our daughter and WLDCC. – Tennille Cheong

Many thanks to Alka and her team for their continued participation in the Munch & Move program. By participating in Munch & Move, Wahroonga Long Day Care is promoting the healthy development of their children through encouragement of healthy eating, physical activity and reduced screen time. Healthy children make for healthy adults so keep up the great work! – Northern Sydney Munch & Move team

We are lucky to have a spot at the WLDCC for our little one who started there as a one year old. The teachers and carers are kind, caring and patient.  Not only do they look after our  precious little ones but also they educate and inspire. Our daughter has learnt SO MUCH at the centre, her speech and manners have come a long way in the year she has been there and all credit goes to the wonderful educational programmes and efforts the staff put in. We would recommend WLDCC to anybody who wants the best for their children.Trisha and Ali Khan

Fantastic daycare, brilliant staff and great food & learning activities. Many thanks to Noelene & Angela from us. – Fiona & David Cock (Lillian & Frederick)

At 18 months my son went through acute separations anxiety and was very unhappy at his previous daycare centre. A friend recommended WLDCC. From the first time we met the staff, we knew it was the right fit for us. The smaller environment and exceptional care and commitment of the educators made all the difference. When my daughter needed care there was no question about where we’d like her to go, even though we’d moved out of the area by then. My kids are both happy and confident learners and the beautiful ladies at WLDCC had everything to do with that. – Mérie and Gerrie Botes (Toby and Nina)

My son attended Wahroonga Long Day Care Centre from 9 months old to age 5.

As a working mother, it was extremely important to feel comfortable with the people and surroundings I left my son with. Right from the start, I felt very comfortable with WLDCC.   My son is now 22 years old and many of the staff members who cared for my son are still there, which shows the centre’s staff retention is extremely high.  My son speaks very fondly of his time at the Centre and still visits from time to time to see everyone.

WLDCC made a big contribution to my son’s formative years in developing a kind, responsible and caring person.  It is a nurturing environment and loving centre that fosters growth.

The management and staff obviously love what they do with a level of care that is second to none.  I have no hesitation in recommending Wahroonga Long Day Care Centre to any parent looking for a caring and nurturing environment for their child. – Debbie Thew, Paralegal & Executive Assistan, KFC Legal Department
