More About Me

Background and Experience

I am an Early Childhood Teacher at Wahroonga Long Day Care. I have a Bachelor degree in Education (Primary) from Macquarie University and I am currently doing postgraduate studies in Early Childhood Education at Griffith University.
Before I came to work at the centre, four years ago, I worked as a teacher in Sam Houston Elementary School in Texas, USA where I taught Spanish and Science to year 2 students.

Philosophy

I love being a teacher because I enjoy having the opportunity to empower children through knowledge by guiding them to discover all the great things they are able to accomplish.

I think WLDCC is a very special place because our children, staff and families are wonderful and we have developed a sense of cooperation and collaboration to achieve common goals.

I believe that it is really important to help young children to develop confidence and self-esteem in the early years, which I feel is essential as they progress with their education journey.

Interests and Hobbies

In my free time, I love going to the beach and spending time with my family.
