In Short

More About Me
I was born in Sydney and have lived in this area for many years.
I have been employed at WLDCC since April 1997. During that time I have worked with children in the Infants, Toddler and Pre-school rooms. I have also assisted in the kitchen.
When my own children were young, I provided Home Based Care and Before and After School Care for over a period of ten years. I have also been involved in assisting school reading groups, swimming classes and craft classes for Kindergarten to Year 6 children.
Working with children has always been a joy for me. It is very special to be involved in a child’s development in language and fine/gross motor skills. WLDCC provides a “home away from home” environment for children to grow and learn. This is what I love about working at the Centre.
I believe children in care should feel safe and secure, where they are able to learn through play to become confident and respectful individuals ready for school.
I am very interested in travel and bushwalking. Even though I am now “semi-retired” it is always great to come in and spend time with the children.
