More About Me

I have been at WLDCC for 20 years now; started as casual staff, then full-time and now back to casual. I love working for the centre as we have a great team which allows for positive staff relationships and teamwork. The children and families are great too!

Before commencing at WLDCC, I taught at high schools in Papua New Guinea for 10 years. I also, for a brief period of time, did mentoring for a child with special needs – at Thornleigh West Primary, and conducted scripture classes – at Normanhurst West Primary.

I love working with children and find them very interesting to work with! I love working with each child and encouraging them to shine through their own unique characteristics. I have a passion for supporting, encouraging and teaching the children in the different areas of their development and learning.

I think it is important for children in care to feel safe, secure, comfortable and to be provided an environment where they can trust in their educators as they build confidence to explore and learn.

My hobbies are spending time with my family (especially my grandchildren), travelling, camping, reading and gardening.
